Safeguarding

At St. George’s School, our full commitment is given to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and protecting them from any kind of harm: physical or emotional. We listen to our children and take seriously what they tell us. We aim to work in partnership with parents to help your child reach their full potential.

All staff have read and undertaken to abide by the St. George’s School Safeguarding Policy and are aware of the underlying principles that guide our approach to child protection. All new staff members are required to provide the relevant child protection documents in accordance with national legislation and school policy.

Staff are fully conscious of the procedures to follow as mandated by this policy, and training is updated regularly for all staff. We have a designated safeguarding lead who has received appropriate training for this role. We are committed to reviewing our policy annually as well as raising awareness to child protection issues each term.

A hard copy of our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is available to parents upon request or you can download the policy using the pdf icon on the left.
