After School Clubs

Saint George’s runs an extensive programme of optional after school activities.

These run for one hour at the end of the school day, and children have the opportunity to select different activities each term. Some clubs incur an additional cost, but many are free.

The clubs running in 2022-2023 are:


Robotics

Children learn to design and assemble pre-engineering construction and to think in a technological and creative way. They will work with computers and learn basic programming.

Move it!

Move It! is an activity to teach up-to-the minute dance styles like Hip-Hop and Zumba. It is a fun time but with carefully structured classes.

Ballet

Ballet classes are taught by a member of the International Dance Teachers ́ Association. The children are taught ballet techniques from preparatory level upwards..


Chinese

St. George ́s has been a pioneer in offering Chinese Mandarin throughout the province of Malaga. The lessons will include games, songs, audio/visual material and above all, as always, will be great fun!

Homework Club

Homework club is designed to support children and families in establishing a good homework routine that will stand the children in good stead for the rest of their school career.

Music and Dance

The children will have the opportunity to discover rhythm using various percussion instruments; to appreciate different musical styles; and to express themselves through drama.


Creative Arts

The children will learn different skills; the use of colour, drawing, shapes and spatial awareness, using a variety of materials. They will be the artists, creating their own artwork.

Extra Spanish

This activity reinforces the areas of Spanish which the children find most difficult, using a variety of fun activities.

Bible Stories

The children will hear stories from the Bible, watch videos, sing and do arts and crafts to support these stories. They will also learn about the values and morals that the Bible teaches us, such as love, forgiveness and helping others.


Environmental Studies

The children will learn, through playing and experimenting, about the principal elements such as water, air, sun and the Earth, as well as living things like animals and plants.

Spanish Stories & Fables

Children will enjoy a variety of stories, fables, songs and rhymes, then join in role play drama and acting. They will also play games which encourages imaginative play.

Games Club

In this activity, the children will participate in a variety of games. As well as having fun, they will reinforce their language and numeracy skills.
